This Brentwood project began as a full home remodel, reworking the floor plan from the ground up. We enlarged the kitchen, added a large walk-in pantry, and reconfigured traditional spaces to create a specialty lounge, library, office, and expansive sunroom, each finished with new materials selected to feel cohesive throughout the home.
For the open kitchen, we selected a statement marble for countertops and range hood to create a beautiful focal point. A long custom island in a rich, stained wood anchors the space and provides space for entertaining. Warm brass hardware and plumbing add dimension and highlight the glow of a sculptural light fixture that brings all the tones together. Tucked inside an arched opening, the kitchen also includes a coffee bar, tiled in a Japanese-inspired mosaic.
Beyond construction, we fully furnished the home down to every detail, from modern furnishings and oversized lighting, to carefully selected art and decor. A nightstand vignette keeps the primary bedroom sleek and restful, but also personal. In the library-inspired lounge, lacquered walls with applied moldings provide a sophisticated backdrop for a curated art gallery. Other objects, like the brass monkey table and textural floor pillows add character and invite conversation. The living room with its expansive arched windows was designed to include built-in niches for display, a floor to ceiling fireplace surround with a roman clay finish and leathered granite mantel.
From beautiful white oak floors and columns, to added French doors and a skull-papered half bath, every space was addressed for maximized beauty and unexpected detail, in addition to flow and function. The result is a Brentwood home that feels considered from room to room, built around how the family lives and entertains.
This Belmont interior design project was a full gut and remodel of a historic craftsman style home. Of Origin Design Studios designed every detail and finish from the ground up, respecting the character of one of Nashville's most historic neighborhoods while giving the home an edgy, moody attitude entirely its own. The result balances the craftsman bones of the original architecture with bold, distinctive style choices throughout, proof that historic and modern don't have to be at odds. It's a strong example of how we approach full remodel projects in Nashville the Nashville area, rooted in respect for what's already there paired with a willingness to push the design somewhere unexpected.
This Green Hills interior design project centered on a full furnishings package paired with a light remodel. Of Origin Design Studios updated light fixtures and paint throughout the home, then layered in furnishings, artwork, and accessories chosen to personalize the space for these homeowners. The home office took on its own distinct personality, styled around the client's request for a look he described as Anderson Cooper on acid, eclectic, polished, and a little unexpected. Rather than a full construction overhaul, this project shows how thoughtful styling and a few targeted updates can transform a home, giving it a distinct, collected feel without touching the underlying architecture. It's a good example of the furnishings focused interior design services we offer throughout Nashville's Green Hills neighborhood.
Our client needed a major overhaul on his outdated 70’s atomic ranch home perched on a hillside in Atlanta. Painting the exterior a bold black to define the home’s architecture was first on the list! In the large open kitchen, we focused on dramatic but livable finishes, including a dark, textured backsplash, matte brass plumbing fixtures, and stunning quartz countertops with beautiful veining and a waterfall edge on the central island. The custom wet bar clad in bleached hot-rolled steel with shiny brass sconces add a moody and sophisticated setting to mix a cocktail. Our take on the client's vision for ‘elevated surf-shack’ carries through to the funky tropical half-bath, plus a cozy fireplace area with rich tones of rust and indigo and lush green plant-life.

This Thompson's Station interior design project was a full furnishings package for a family home, blending modern furnishings within an existing farmhouse style. Of Origin Design Studios personalized the primary living spaces for the parents, then gave each child's room its own distinct details and personality, tailored to who they are rather than a one size fits all approach. The result is a home that feels cohesive as a whole while still reflecting each family member individually, a good example of how thoughtful furnishings alone can transform a home in Nashville's Thompson's Station area.
This West End interior design project was a full remodel and furnishings package for a young executive's three story home, designed to take advantage of its sweeping views. Of Origin Design Studios created a moody, layered primary bedroom and an elevated living space designed for both everyday life and entertaining. This Hillsboro interior design project was a full design and furnishings package for a small one bedroom, one bath Airbnb in Nashville's Hillsboro neighborhood. Of Origin Design Studios packed the compact footprint with style and thoughtful detail, turning a small short term rental into a genuine destination rather than a generic place to sleep. It's a strong example of how our furnishings focused design services can transform even the smallest properties into something distinct and memorable for guests visiting Nashville.
This record executive wanted a clean, modern design for his newly purchased Nashville home in a Green Hills neighborhood. The design for this interior is geared toward entertaining friends with comfortable spaces for sleeping, reading, and enjoying his music and media equipment. A plush custom upholstered charcoal sofa in the living area juxtaposes masculine elements of concrete and stone.
Creative storage for an extensive vinyl collection was also a must, so we designed custom steel floating shelves to mount above the client’s stereo, then brought in simple accessories for added detail. While in the bedroom, a rich toned mohair settee tucks in nicely to anchor the four-poster bed creating a luxury master bedroom suite. The dining room features, a vibrant antique area rug which complements the salon wall of mixed art pieces—-we added modern, abstract works to the homeowner’s personal collection to create a striking gallery that feels collected through the years.
We’ve had the ongoing privilege of helping Nashville’s CREMA Coffee with the design and buildout of their shop since they began in 2007. For their latest renovation, we worked with owners Ben and Rachel, along with a team of talented craftsmen, to re-conceptualize CREMA, addressing the needs of their rapidly-growing business. Pulling together a cohesive branded design and flow, as well as an enjoyable experience for the customers and the staff, were priority.
CREMA is passionate about their craft, and we wanted this concept of attention to detail to come through in the re-design. This meant a new space plan, brighter interiors, updated handcrafted furnishings, and most importantly, a focus on community.

Of Origin partnered with GoNoodle to design its 12,000-square-foot headquarters in Nashville's historic Cummins Station. The project involved a complete transformation of the top floor, beginning with space planning, architectural detailing, and construction documentation, and continuing through finish selections, custom millwork, furnishings, and installation.
As a company centered around movement, creativity, and learning, GoNoodle wanted a workplace that felt energetic, collaborative, and distinctly different from a traditional office environment. We designed six conference rooms, each with its own color palette and personality, alongside a variety of flexible workspaces, gathering areas, and collaborative zones that support the needs of a growing creative team.
Working closely with local artisans and craftspeople, we incorporated custom architectural elements throughout the headquarters, including a freestanding slat wall featuring the GoNoodle logo, built-in booth seating, oversized steel planters, and commissioned graphics that complement the building's exposed brick architecture. The result is a vibrant workplace that balances creativity, functionality, and thoughtful commercial interior design.
Of Origin Design Studios is a Nashville interior design firm serving clients across Middle Tennessee, including Brentwood, Green Hills, Belmont, Franklin, 12 South, East Nashville, and our own neighborhood, Wedgewood-Houston. We believe great design begins with understanding the people who will inhabit a space, the life that will unfold within it, and the countless decisions that shape how it's experienced.
Our full service practice covers both residential and commercial interior design. That includes custom homes and whole home renovations, new construction, and furnishings projects, along with commercial and hospitality spaces like offices, retail shops, cafés, and restaurants. We handle every phase of a project, from architectural drawings and space planning to finish selections, custom millwork, and final installation, treating each one as a single complete composition.
We value craftsmanship over convenience and authenticity over trends. Thoughtful decisions matter more to us than fleeting novelty. The spaces we design feel collected rather than decorated, layered with character, story, and connection that only grows richer over time. We curate architecture, materials, furnishings, and art together so each space feels personal, enduring, and entirely its own.
A Brentwood renovation, a Nashville corporate headquarters, and a neighborhood café might look nothing alike, but our process starts the same way every time. We take the time to understand how you want to live, work, or welcome people in, then design a space that gets you there.
