OUR AESTHETIC

Of Origin was founded on the idea of truth to materials. Whenever possible, we focus on raw, organic pieces that point to where they came from. Maybe it's a live-edge custom wood table, elements in concrete, worn leather, wool, or hot-rolled steel, or that perfect velvet chair you’ll sink into at the end of every day.

To us, design is all about the details. It's vintage elements that tell a story, rooms that honor a building’s architecture, and modern hand-crafted furnishings that make a space truly one-of-a-kind. 

The Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, burning wood’s surface to render it a deep black color while also preserving it, intrigues us. We love the idea of Wabi-Sabi living — creating not just a “space," but a space that invites moments. We gravitate toward clean modern lines and timeless pieces, striking a balance between form and function. And while we work with a range of budgets, we believe in buying the best you can afford, because it lasts.
